THE BEST OF L.A.

EVEN THOUGH I MAY NOT LIVE THERE   ANYMORE, MY OCCASIONAL VISITS
        ARE FILLED WITH LOVE

Here's  a way to spend the day---

How perfect to have lunch with Jackie De Shannon in the garden of the Polo Lounge. You have a refreshing lemonade, a bit of a Mc Carthy salad, perhaps split their great cheeseburger, and top it off with Carrot Cake.---and you spend three hours doing it!

Then it's important to remember loved ones left behind (because I'm also one of them).

It was off to Debbie Reynolds Studio in North Hollywood, still jammed with dancers and show rehearsals, just the way she'd want it to be. She is everywhere there, in the air, on every wall, and in all our hearts.

And here is Margie Duncan, Debbie's stand-in and closest friend, who has run the studio for years. It was so wonderful just to be together, along with the man who took the picture, Donald Light, Debbie's live-in Major Domo

Continuing along the Reynolds-Fisher theme, we move to the Stevens-Fisher branch.

This photo was taken at another time, but ten of us went to a ridiculous restaurant called Crabby Pot and ate fish in oily red sauce from a plastic bag. The taste was great, but we needed to hose off after. That's why there are no pictures.
Tricia Leigh Fisher, Connie Stevens, Skylar Fisher-Duddy, True Fisher-Duddy, and Joely Fisher

And, just in case I needed more food, there was always this:

#19 Pastrami sandwich to go
